This is really hard to rate. If a wine hits 8.9/10 on all the marks of what a CSD should be, that still make it a failure of a sub-90 wine, right? OTOH, that hardly seems fair as this wine successfully was CSD and was a fairly good wine with a nice succulence and a mossy persistence. The best way to evaluation this wine is that it is correctly CSD and that counts for a lot if you love Burgundy, but it is not a great CSD and probably underachieves in the context of the vintage. I suspect it will improve in absolute terms, but never in relative terms. I did enjoy it a lot and it was definitely worth the bit of a C-note tariff.

Still a bit closed. Stemmy and a bit green with lovely red fruit, decent complexity but tannins need some more softening. 90-91
