Started off with a whiff of carbonic red and black fruit, with a dried herb and slightly smoky note. Smell resembled an aged zin, but without the jamminess of fruit character. Palate was fairly light and quick, while flavors matched the aromas. After about 3 hours in the glass, the complexities finally emerged, revealing an almost dirty, savory texture and a slightly gritty (yet refined) tannin on the lengthening finish. Unique wine that changed completely as it evolved in the glass. Enjoyable now.

Good complexity on the nose. Black cherries and raisins with dried flowers, herbs, and dark earth tones. The mouth feel is lush with dark fruit flavors, earth and spice. The wine is well balanced with delicious flavors, good acidity and some velvety tannin coming in late. It's an exceptional wine but probably not a good value if you're not someone who appreciates its origins, small production, novelty, etc. I dig it though.

Aroma: spice, earth Palate: mushrooms, asparagus, licorice, rhubarb, bell pepper. I thought that it was a little overly herbal, but a very good wine, but a bit overpriced.

Very nice. Great umami, balanced fruit and tannins. Continue to be impressed with Maynard's juice.
