solid zin, modest nose, fruit forward, lots of cedar but feels a little fake. I have so enthusiatically enjoyed other single vinyard parcels from this producer (which go for a few bucks cheaper) that this was a slight disappointment

Sweet and jammy, almost to the point of being a dessert wine. I reckon this bottle would be a huge hit with your average bulk wine consumers out there. Although the sugars are a bit over the top, this wine shows the quality and value of Amador Co. wines. Plenty of flavors building on the range of Zin norms. Length is medium but the wine shows orders of magnitude more complexity than similarly priced wines from areas closer to the coast. This wine clearly outperforms at its price point. That said, its a B+ wine that is priced well.

A classic Zin nose of black cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Zin with jammy black cherry, raspberry, plum with a vanilla spice finish, a good value. www.winelx.com

Purple in color. Oak, cherry, spice, and a bit of dusty basement floor on the nose. A great velvety mouthfeel and medium finish. This wine has a very good QPR. I would definitely buy again.
