Grabbed this from University Wines in Seattle for my wife's birthday. This is the newest offering in their direct import program. This was a test balloon before we go out for the occasion next week with a small group of friends where we will sample a vintage bottling from this producer. This is pale gold with a yeasty nose which also offers some pretty pear aromatics. Textured and refreshing. This is perfect for the warm day we are having today. A good mix of layered, tart fruit, brightened by racy acidity and finished with some classy, yet rustic minerality. This lingers and allows one to reflect on the complexity of this beautiful wine.

IMW Annual Champagne Tasting (Christie's Auction House, NYC): I was not a fan of this -- lacking in freshness. Oxidative quality.
