  • A pristine bottle at that place you go to to drink old Wines. This was so youthful it needed an hour to blow off some oak and heat. When it does the richness, honey, white mushroom, and acid were in such wonderful balance. A real treat and the last bottle. Sorry gents.

  • The classic, intense yet lively appearance of mature white Burgundy; stylish nose, steely, deep and complex (caramel, honey, herbs, citrus, vanilla, smoke); elliptical palate, very harmonious and stylish, flavours of honey and salted butter, carried by firm acidity; very good length. Picture perfect, far exceeds its simple Villages status. At perfect peak. Note on 27 April 2014: When (and why) did they stop making white Burgundy like this?!?
