Very typical Merlot Bordeaux nose with hints of coffee and black cherries. All elements are nicely integrated. A correct wine but lacks that extra of a GCC.

Appearance: medium garnet Nose: pronounced intensity; aromas of pencil shave, perfumed floral notes, tobacco, cedar, toast, leather, red currant, red cherry, chocolate, mineral. It’s developing. Palate: dry high acidity, medium plus tannins (fine grains), medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus flavour intensity. Dark plum and dark chocolate on the palate. The finish is medium plus. Overall, it’s a very good wine. Can drink now but has potential for further ageing. It’s a cooler vintage and elegant style with lifted aromas powered by Cab Franc. The structure is solid and the finish is persistent. Better than I expected.

- Colour: dark red, not much progress - Nose: very faint nose. Nose was better when we opened the bottle. A few soft Merlot-hints - palate: toasted hints, not much acidity nor bitterness. Quite a lot of tannins though. This wine is too young to drink.

A bit closed at first sip, a lot of tanin. Fruit is slow to rise in the glass but it definitely there.
