  • Enjoyed with charcuterie and little burgers at Indie Wine and Beer in SF. On opening - an almost musarish nose, a whiff of brett and some volatility. On the palate, more obviously burgundy, some red and black fruit is still there, not a *ton* of acidity, and a kind of camp fire note to it. Somewhat savoury - a bit of bacon fat. With food, air and time it pulled itself together, became more integrated, more burgundian on the nose. This is clearly on the downslope but there's time ahead of it, and one doesn't get to drink this type of wine enough these days. A real treat and a great evening.

  • W/Leon at Indie. Reminds me of the 72 musar on the nose: Strong brett and dark fruit. Some oxidation and perfumed VA. Singed reduction - charred wood. Very savory.

As it opened up, it started to depart from Musarland. Mushroom emerged. Medium body. Elevated acid. Med minus papery slightly bitter tannins, but also partly melted and softened. Super good. After a couple hours, it simplified a bit but remained delicious. A sort of mellow savory red cherry note emerged more strongly than before.
