From 75cl, impeccable provenance, cork puffy and white-stained 3mm back, P+P. Light gold colour is promising, and definitely no pre-mox. But alas this showed best in the minutes after opening and deteriorated steadiily thereafter. Interesting to read octopussy's TN of 06.01.2019—the acid, chalk and Puligny "nervousness" has alas disappeared since then, and what remains is an ageing soft oaked Chardonnay which definitely saw better times 3-4 years ago. Probably not surprising for a villages/lieu-dit. 85P in this condition.

This is a bit difficult upon opening, but really good after one night open. Light yellow. In the nose, there's a lot of funk (there was too much funk upon opening), it's quite sulphuric, a bit of oak as well. Underneath all of that, it's super clean, bright and pure, lemony fruit, some peach as well. In the mouth, it's super, bright again, direct, straightforward, slightly spicy, a bit nervous, quite chalky, nice and fresh acidity, long finish. Exactly my kind of Puligny-Montrachet.

Great underlying bright acidity holds up medium body of smokey lemons, (barely) peaches and mint. Hints of vanilla and smoke add complexity. There is good length to this wine as well.
