  • Light gold to yellow, fast legs. Clear aromas of stone, mineral, a bit of yeast or biscuit, hint of hay. Flavors of stone, mineral, with a touch of lemon and lime. A challenge to discern but so tasty! Light/Medium body, polished texture. Medium finish and acifity. I have limited experience with Chablis, but this was a very good early exposure to a non-buttery non-creamy Chardonnay. At $19, QPR is a bit below average. I do, however, have the 2014 vintage. If it drinks like this vintage I will be happy indeed. Drink now or in 2018.

  • Did not have high expectations given some of the earlier reviews but don't be fooled. The cork gave nothing away. Nice fruity nose. That foretaste was a shock of tropical fruits - also citrus - most of this is at the front of the tongue. Little acidity, but that buttery smoothness is almost like a meursault costing 4X as much. Drinking at its prime now. The 2012 is regarded as the star and a good few points above the 2013 and 2014. The 2012 was sold by the Wine Society at £9; the 2014 is now £13.50.

  • Attractive medium yellow, with floral aromas and a hint of butter. Enters the mouth with a very nice caressing texture, lemon fruit, and a smooth finish. Excellent with pasta and fresh tomatoes.

  • Light lemon-golden color; on the nose some minerals/flint plus some grassy acidity.
On the palate is is thin, fairly neutral, almost neutered, with an acidic finish. Probably they overcropped and cut some of the excess acidity..
The label of this wine says "30 year old vines, fermented with indigenous yeast"
Well, you can have 30 year old vines and indigenous yeasts all you want, but if you overproduce and then try to cut the acidity so that the resulting wine is not too grassy, thin and anemic you will still end up with a non-descript bottle of plonk. this wine in no way resembles a classic Chablis. A mere shadow of the real thing!
Another Burgundy that is way overpriced and under delivers....
