So wish I had more of this well balanced Bordeaux wine from Miner. Cellaring really brought out plum notes...structure was outstanding and paired well with bbq chicken...enough heft to hold up to smokiness of the meat without overpowering it.

A bit surprised that this wine is still drinking well. Give it a little bit of time to breathe. Spicy with light tannins and a taste of cherry on your palette. An enjoyable finish makes this a delightful Bordeaux style wine from Miner. I believe the grapes come from their Stagecoach Vineyard which is known for their volcanic soil. I have sometimes mistaken these kinds wine to be a Cab - but this one is truly distinct and can easily be recognized. (92 Pts)

Drank along side of an '08 Pride Cab Franc. While this Miner was very tasty, it played second fiddle to the Pride. The nose is muted with cherry and black licorice. Has a wonderful young fruit flavors, but jumps to a a dusty finish without any mid-palate. Short plus finish.

Miner is an under-rated producer of extremely reliable wines... of which this is one!
