This is a beautiful Burgundy but somewhat disappointing for a Grand Cru. The color is a shimmering garnet. The nose yields scents of wildflowers, plums and ripe berries. The taste is pretty well balanced with oodles of beautiful plummy, berryish fruit with some hints of vanilla. I think the taste is pretty one dimensional for a Grand Cru but nonetheless enjoyable. Well let’s see where it goes as it ages.
8-7-06 The color and nose are about the same. The taste has developed with flavors of ripening fruit. The red berries and plums are darker in taste. There is still a lack of complexity and spice in the fruit.
