Dry, dry, dry. Mouthwatering and medium in weight. Notes of pine sap, lime custard, dusty sage, white pepper, kumquat peel, Granny Smith apple, beeswax, chalky mineral, calendula, and long, long, long orchard fruit/citrus finish. In retrospect, I should have squirreled more away as this could go much longer. Tasted over six days.

Friends brought this to my 7/11/15 Low Country Boil. It had a subtle, moderately reserved bouquet of pear, peach, lime, smoke and spice aromas. The palate was rich, round and off dry with flavors that followed the nose.

Very lightly straw colored. 12.8% ABV. Subtle nose of stone fruits, citrus and minerals. Fresh and tasty with vibrant acidity. Flavors of pear, lime and peach. Dry and tart with a long finish. Super example of Washington Riesling. Drink over the next 2-4 years.

(Efeste Riesling Evergreen Vineyard Columbia Valley) All coming from a single block of Evergreen Vineyard (Block 9), it’s a moderately aromatic wine with white peach, lime leaf, and mineral notes. The palate drinks just about dry with tart, vibrant acidity and a long, drawn out finish. A beautiful expression of Washington State Riesling. 100% Riesling. Fermented and aged in stainless steel. 12.80% alcohol. 10.50 g/L residual sugar. Sample provided by winery.
