Takes a while to open up. Needs 30-40 minutes of air. Dark cherries and earthy aromas. The palate is structured but smooth and modern in feel. There is nice black cherry, earth and spice flavors with a touch of wood. This is relatively simple and compact but it delivers solid quality. Can age for another 5-10 years but don’t think it will improve much.

Day Three in Burgundy: Rousseau, Marchand, Dugat, Jadot (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at domaine. Very approachable black fruit aromas with some sweet spice. Charming and engaging on palate, great balance already. Good to drink young for Grand Cru.
