Dinner of homemade Alsatian three-cheese fondue. Deep honey/gold color. Pleasant and fruity, showing some interesting pear, diesel, and honey notes. Good acid balance; classic full-bodied Gewurz oily mouthfeel. Not all that complex, but a good quaffer and excellent value.
($14) Quintessential Gewurztraminer character. Tending toward full bodied with a bit of sweetness on the palate, though I suspect this is technically dry. Good with our appetizers - warm bacon spinach salad, poblano corn soup, etc.
