Deep inky garnet in colour; typical aromas of dark berries, but also, unusual for a Shiraz, there's a predominant cherry note there too. Incredibly fruity but without the up front spiciness that can sometimes be a bit overpowering in some Aussie Shirazes; jammy plums and blackberries are prominent on the palate. A nice, hearty wine that matched well with rare burgers and curried chips.

$2 for 187 ml bottle. Screw top. No time to decant in bottle. Pleasant aroma. Dark purplish colour. The flavour is okay. The tannins are present but somewhat mellowed. Tastes good after eating fine western European cheeses (São Jorgio from Portugal and one-year old Sheep's Milk Gouda from Holland). My bottle says this wine is from the South Eastern Australia region, not South Australia as indicated above. Low good.

Okay for the price - simple table wine; didn't like as much as the 2005 or 2006

Must've been cooked or something, because this was nowhere near as good as other bottles of this type I've had.
