  Tannins were distinct on opening but softened over dinner with time in decanter. Medium-bodied with classic bordeaux notes of black currant, plum, and cigarbox, but also with that Bolgheri dried spice or herbal character. I'd say this is in its sweet spot now with a great balance between the fruit and tertiary aromas, even though it will hold for many years.

  This has developed well over the 3+ years since last tasted. The tannins are now well absorbed, and the wine is drinking superbly. It is very rich and concentrated, with blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, a slight creaminess and great length. Excellent.

  Drank this bottle at Cook & Brew during the Little Red Dot 3rd Anniversary Dinner. Theme of the evening: Cabernet Sauvignon based wines which are more than 12 years and above $120.
  
  Beautiful aromatics on the nose, with redwood, spices, dark red fruits and tobacco. So similar to its Bordeaux, yet so different. On the palate the wine is very well structured with a pleasant long finish.
  
  Can probably age another 10 yers easily in the bottle.
