  • This is round and full. In a blind tasting head to head with bottles from France, it was clear that this was the domestic Pinot. Yet, at the end of the night, after bottles had been opened for two+ hours, this was the bottle that was expressing the most – complex bouquet of bacon fat and lavender over a base of stewed red fruit. This is a testament to the terroir of Ribbon Ridge and the integrity of the wine makers. Fabulous wine.

  • Saturated, dense red. Heady bouquet of currants, cherry jam, dried cherries, bacon fat, and herbs. Mouth-filling and rich with good structure and a long, pleasing finish. It seems to be right in its prime drinking window but should hold well (and evolve?) for a number of years yet. Perfect with Copper River sockeye salmon topped with fresh morels.
