Quite grand - voluminous body, nutty acidity, massive length. As others have noted, the oak is somewhat high. Almond paste and mango, pineapple, minerality in the background. Will be interesting to compare to the ‘13.

I basically agree with Rysling but I am still a little disappointed because I had hoped for a more etherical and less oaky and nutty wine. The intense tropical fruits were "weighed down" for lack of better words.

Second bottle of four, to be drunk at approximately two year intervals. Lovely light yellow colour and still some chenin blanc spritz initially, but much less than two years ago. Butter and oaky tannins are now more pronounced, medium acid only. Drinking well but should certainly develop in an interesting direction with two more years.
