Bottle bought 10-15 years ago, still easily doing well. Very good richness with a sense of elegant charm, some faint maderization, but still nicely effervescent.

David Clark @ Sun Street Hotel: Mag. Palest straw. Fresh and zingy and nicely mineral. Clean lines. Just a touch if cream sround the edges suggesting some development. Promising. ***1/2

Disgorged May 22. Light in color. Very fine mousse. This is bright and tasty and wont earn memorability except for bang for buck which is exceptional. Drink

(NV Jean Lallement Champagne Grand Cru Cuvée Réserve) Light yellow color with a few, tiny bubbles; focused, tart pear nose; tasty, tart pear, poached pear, mineral palate; medium-plus finish 91+ points
(NV Jean Lallement "Réserve" Brut) ($71.00) This bottling is no weightier than the regular NV; just more rugged and determined. That’s because it reverses the assemblage – 80% ’07 (which is lighter) and 20% ’08. Same varietal blend.
(NV Jean Lallement Brut Reserve) #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-golden; NOSE-very funky; a truffle component; little blue stone; little hints of walnuts & baked bread; TASTE-very heavy with fresh crushed Apple cider component; loaded w/ apple for days; but a little limited & one dimensional; WS-91; GV-88+

12/8/2023 - scorbett Likes this wine:
Slightly less biscuit and more citrus than their entry level bubbly (the Tradition -- green label).
This is more like a ladyfinger in the middle of a creamy, lemony, layered dessert.
The nose has some honeyed orchard fruit and the finish perhaps betrays a touch of cherry.
In one of Terry Theise's notes he says this one is "almost chocolatey", and when I squint this is really really really close to what I am tasting.
