  Extremely disappointed with this wine. Unlike the 2008 & 2009 vintages which were beautifully balanced and complex (see my positive ratings/review) The 2012 is way out of whack. Even with a 90 minute decant, this Zin remained hot (15.8% alcohol) and uneven. The nose is a funky mixture of alcohol and caramel. On the palate it's medicinal and one dimensional with no integration of fruit and oak. On this 2012, WTSO failed to state how long the wine was aged in oak (unlike the previous two vintages which claimed 30+ months) and it appears the 2012 was rushed to market. Buyer beware.
