  • Black cherry, currant, and blackberry fruit right up front. Subtle tartness to ti with a nice core of black pepper, mocha, earth, and mineral notes. Supple tannins with good acidity and long finish. Drinking very nicely right now if you like CF.

  • I was kind of wondering if maybe this one was a little bit late to the show. Even after two hours of air, I think this one probably has another five to 10 years left. The nose is a very youthful purple fruit and black cherry with some very secondary notes showing a tiny bit of age. The wine pours fairly dark. The entry of this wine is quite a bit subtle, but still very full throttled old black cherry. The middle is where this one shines. Has a lot of density to it. Finishes with some Wildflower influence. This one isn't going anywhere for a while. Taking a turn for the dark side, so if you have this one, and the darker side of Cab Franc is more your style, you will be very pleased with this one in probably a year or two. Definitely thought this was heading down the tubes but surely mistaken!

  • Let this wine sit for an hour before drinking. Out of the bottle it was rather tart, but after opening up, it became a very well rounded and delicious wine. We are with pizza and it was delicious.

  • As Mflesh noted, I also am picking up some very spicy notes, not unlike a jalapeno. I'm usually a big fan of Paradigm wines but there's something a little off with this 2010 Cab Franc. I think I'll keep the other bottles in my cellar for a bit longer. I did a double aeration and while the fruit nose and flavors are opening up after about an hour in the glass, it's still not quite right. It's still a very delicious wine and I'll be anxious to give it another go in a couple more years.

  • This wine is barely in the drinking window, but BARELY. After 2 hours, the wine was just coming into its element. On the nose was some blackberry, but was almost a little spicy like some kind of jalapeno note or something here. A little sweet. On the palate is a full bodied ripe blackberrry pie. A little soft on the entry but turns sharp and oaky rather quick. Mid-palate showed leather, blackberry, more oak, and some bramble. The finish was T-A-N-N-I-C, oaked for sure (this was the one constant throughout the entire wine) but that blackberrry core with some nice herbal notes lingered. Black pepper spice. A youngster for sure. Solid 92, and perhaps 93. Paradigm always has a way of making very correct wines for this awesome bit of Oakville terroir! This wine has a lot of time left. This is NOT a 2014-2016 wine. More like 2015-2025.
