On second taste, I drop my 90 to an 84 to balance out to 87. This is not representative of 2912 vintage as it comes across thin and hastily made than crafted. I hope their nuthouse is better performing. Hits the right notes on the nose, but falls flat on taste and texture. Would expect this from a $14 bottle, not $24.
Not representative of the excellent 2012 vintage, this Oregon Pinot is light and one-dimensional with mild fruit and herb flavors and a somewhat tart finish. Pleasant enough for everyday drinking but not much else.
What a nice wine! Well balanced, red berry, juicy, a little bit of smoke, a little bit of Christmas spice. This was great with mustard crusted salmon and with the goat cheese afterwards. Still improving I would say.
