A lovely aged white Burgundy that shockingly wasn't premoxed so representative, I believe. Quite layered and complex and seems older than it should be but there is a lovely elegant texture and beautiful complex notes of white flowers and chalky minerals. Still, this bottle at least lacks some vigor and intensity and is not at the level it should be considering vineyard and producer. Given some of the notes below, it seems bottle variation is an issue.

Over 1500$ market price. I think about one third of the Domaine Leflaive I opened these last 5 years were oxidized. Has any another Domaine in Burgundy produced so much premox wines?..

Jungsik: Decanted for an hour. Initially reductive which did start to blow off in the first hour. By the end of the night this was absolutely creamy and unctuous while maintaining great tension and balance. Nose was soaring from the glass with white fruit and minerality. Felt on par with many a Monty, but with a steely verve. Best after 4-5 hours. WOTN for me.

Reduction, creamy, green, orange fruit, wet stone, petrol . fuller body, broad. Energetic and powerful. Very old school.
