Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of medium lemon colour, with wide watery rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of citrus fruit of lemon, floral notes of acacia and honeysuckle, green fruit of green apple, stone fruit of peach, mineral notes of stony and saline, dairy notes of cream, maturity notes of honey and hay, sweet spice of ginger. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium alcohol, medium body, with pronounced flavours of citrus fruit of lemon, green fruit of pear, oak notes of toast, dairy notes of cream, mineral notes of stony, maturity notes of hay. The wine has a long finish. Conclusion: Very good quality Puligny-Montrachet, with the wine demonstrating a good intensity in aromas of high complexity, continuing to evolve in the glass over time, having both youthful fruity and floral characters, minerality and sweet spice, as well as creamy and development notes. The palate is equally impressive, well-balanced, and robust in structure, with amazing concentration in flavours and a very long finish. It is ready to drink now and can benefit from further ageing of another 3-5 years.

Dunkles, gereiftes Goldgelb.

What a roller coaster of a ride this has been. Opened last night, I was convinced it was over the hill. The color was more orange than yellow and the wine seemed oxidized. I drank 1/2 and left the other half in the bottle overnight in the fridge. 21 hours later, the color hasn't changed, but everything else has! This has really lost the off-putting oxidative smells and is now showing very, very well. Looking thick and oily, this has lovely lemon oil, beeswax, coconut, and pretty spice showing out on the nose. The flavor only adds additional layers of complexity, with some honey, nutmeg and orchard fruit that lasts a long time balanced by just the right acid edge. Rarely have I seen a wine change THIS MUCH overnight. It's astounding. This may have been badly stored, I don't know, the color sure suggests it, but whatever, this came through like a champ in the end. 4-12-18-9: 93/100.

Orchard fruits, yellow fruits, good balance, long long finish... the only flaw was noticeable oak. It's my first experience with this bottling. I suspect it will improve with age.

CDT tasting at 84 Yesler. V3. Very rich, maybe even buttery. Took awhile to straighten out but will go very well with rich seafood dish.
