  • Pale to medium ruby, forest floor and mushroom on the first nose followed by cherry, concorde grape, and hints of mint, meaty on the attack with bright acidity, layered but tight red and black fruit, wood and mild tannins, finishes with black tea, spice, loads of earth, touches of sour cherry and chalky berry fruit

  • Crimson core with paler rim; having been open for a few days it seems that much of the green herbaceous notes have dissipated; a plumper floral and red fruit note has revealed itself, slight oxidation but holding up well, some candied strawberry and cherry, younger and rounder; well structured with a buffer of pretty red fruit, sour cherry, some strawberry, pleasant grip and texture on the finish; nice, a bit 1-D but should age nicely as most DFs tend to do.

  • Fabulous fruit, structure and everything that is hoped for in a restrained burgundy. The tannins softened on decanting. More importantly, the fruit and length were significantly improved once out of the bottle.

Yum. I want more for my cellar, as it will likely improve even further with bottle ageing.

  • Tasted at the Domaine. Powerful Corton with big tannins, good structure and balance.
