Medium-light ruby. Nose of red fruit, earthy aromas, modest complexity. Stays relatively harmless, simple, primary on the palate. The producer is well regarded and Rugiens is a top site, may be it is too young, may be it is the sub-par vintage. Anyway, only table wine quality for this showing.

Really bright and punchy, with a nose of dried flowers, black cherry and earth. It is supremely youthful and flavours possesses a primary quality. It is intense, focused and persistent. Should age for a very long time.

Tasted blind. Clear, medium ruby (slightly paler than Les Fremiers). Red fruits, vanilla oak, a touch of violets. Some green vinous notes developed with air. High acidity, medium body, medium flavour intensity, medium(+) tannins. Medium(+) finish. More 'masculine' than the accompanying Les Fremiers 2011. I preferred that wine on this night, but I wonder if this will be reversed in a few years' time. Would love to re-compare. 91-92 pts.

Love the red fruits notes from this bottle. There are hints of greenish due to the vintage but still very lovely at this stage.

Disappointing. Light ruby red. Not really showing any age. Super primary with hardly any structure. Watery like mid pallet.
