Purchased 3.5 years ago and now probably at its peak. Still bone dry and quite acidic but has developed to become very balanced and harmonious. Lemon, sourdough bread and chalk.

Den Blinde Hane#8 (Hos Karsten): OnP. Metallic golden, fine mousse. Delicate generous bread/yeast/nutty bouquet. Bone dry complex palate, long end elegant finish.

I just love this wine! Really dry with a great, slightly yeasty and quite complex nose. A bit less complex on the palate, perhaps, but very so clean and fresh I can't get enough. Too dry and austere for my wife, unfortunately.

Drank from a half bottle. A wonderful and relatively cheap Champagne which shows both sharpness and intensity. Pale gold in color, it displays aromas of bread crust, yeasts and yellow ripe fruits with delicate stony hints. The solid body and good ripeness balance the high acidity and dry feeling (this is brut zero, no dosage here). The bubbles are slightly sharp, but very chardonnay-like. Good structure and nice bready finish: my half bottle ended too soon.
