90% Chardonnay, 10% Chenin Blanc. Cellared and bottled by The Vine Intervention.
Intervention in the winery's name is appropriate as there are plenty of signs of oak and malolactic fermentation, though with more aplomb than you'd expect at $7. I wonder what more expensive bottle the juice may have wound up in if it didn't need an expedient home in order to reach shelves within (barely) three years of harvest. Soft and creamy in structure with off-dry notes of pineapple, vanilla, and caramel. Malic acid emerges more on the crisp, drier finish.
