  • Medium gold color. Beautiful, intense nose that overflows with tropical fruit aromas of pineapple, mango, and guava. Also fresh, pungent spring flowers and honey. Just a gorgeous nose. On the palate, the first thing that draws the attention is the lowish acid and almost oily texture. You also get the honey and flowers from the nose, but the fruit is actually much more reserved on the palate. A little underwhelming actually after such a beautiful nose. Might be a little past it at this age. Strange though that the bouquet is so fresh and intense and the palate is a little lackluster.

Sure enough, with some time in the glass, oxidation notes emerge. I think this is just over the hill.

  • A clean saline nose, with evident minerality on the palate, complemented by light chiffon notes. Works well at a seaside lunch, fresh but ultimately unremarkable, e.g., a good summer quaffer.

  • I am kind of neutral on this wine. It is ok and enjoyable to drink, but it is not that interesting. It does have chalk and minerals on the palate in addition to citrus fruits.

  • Popped and poured. Terrific wine. Light yellow in color with aromas of the sea and lemons. Lots of chalk, oyster shell, and stone could be found on the palate. Seriously good wine and will be buying more! 92pts.
