  Upon opening this wine it showed bricking and notes of Madeira. But the acidity and fine tannin was there. After being open for an hour it gained weight and even seemed to get darker in color. Notes of age turned into energy while fruit came forward with notes of spice. Wonderfully integrated tannins gave this wonderful weight. A pleasure to drink.

  Bright, medium red with some hints of oranging. Good nose of strawberry, plum, violets, liqourice and tar. Quite high in acidity, and dry, with some muddy tannins, but a nice round flavour profile and a hint of sweetness on the longlasting finish.
