Dark ruby, spicy zin nose. Dry tannins with medium fruit and body, Himalayan blackberries with tart oaky tannins. Midway between fruity and restrained. More like an italian or zin after an hour open time.

Unscrewed and let sit open for about 1 hour prior to tasting. Revisited several times throughout the night. A rather dull, uninteresting bottle. We kept waiting for something to happen, for the wine to open up and show itself, but it never did. No smell of reduction or anything either. Just a flat, simple syrah.

Medium to dark garnet, cherry nose. Dry with chewy tart tannins, red stone fruits with some bitter tannins. Medium fruit and body, just a tad on the raw side now, but not bad for $16. A night later this is developing a tart red berry profile that appeals to this Pinot drinker, tart blackberry with light tannins on the way out.

Very worthy new world version of an old world style syrah. In peak form now.

Last bottle of a case. Great value but fruit has faded and it is definitely past its prime.
