Further development have created a beautiful nose with perfectly matured cherries, leather, moist leaves, dried roses, minerality and crushed rocks. A puff of gentle smoke lingers. Definitely moved a bit since last bottle, the secondary notes are dominating. The palate brings mostly structure, still energetic acidity and quite feisty tannins. The fruit has taken a step back which makes it a bit unbalance on the palate imo. For me the '12 probably peaked two years ago, today the nose shines but the playful fruit on the palate is sadly gone. Don't take my word for it but if you're sitting on a lot of bottles I suggest you try one out. Cellaring Ariannas IL Frappato seems like tricky business to me; I definitely appreciate them with a few years rest but apparently the window is quite narrow, 4-5 years after vintage seems about right for my taste.

Rubis, intensité moyenne. Nez bien ouvert, mélange de fruits rouges et de notes sulfures. Bouche équilibré, belle amplitude et bonne longueur. Excellent des maintenant. Superbe.

I don't think this is a grape made for aging. This felt quite tired and over the hill but not developing into anything else.
