Drank over two days and second day it was best. In the bouquet cassis and other dark forest fruits, some sweet spices like vanilla. On the palate the same. Good acidity, a touch of sweetness and still slightly sticky tannin. Given some air this wine is ready now, but cellaring it until 2017+ should be no problem.
Very nice fruit quality on the blackish fruit side, but on the simple side - lacks weight and length. but that's to be expected. Less impressive when opened. Fleshed out a bit a day later. A good quality eminently drinkable Bordeaux.
Two days on no falloff whatsoever. Actually, added another point. More evidence to me that many of the 2003's will really keep. Doubt this one,or many of them, will get any better - fruit bombs. That said, I wouldn't be in any rush to drink this wine or many other 2003's.
Very nice, all sorts of spices, black cherries mostly, smooth, matured. Compared to theLagrange 2003 it's clearly less concentrated and less complex, but a very good value nonetheless. Somewhere around peak now, I think. 89-90.
