Very nice bottle. Lots of interesting flavors (the previous few reviewers have covered the landscape with descriptive adjectives so I'm not inclined to add any further ones, lol) with acids and minerals for a balanced glass. Bottle didn't last the meal.....

So tasty ......herbs ...leather tones...lots of fruit. Old world earth wine but with fruit in the right proportion. Enjoyed it half on its own and the rest with veal stew.

As others note, shows off more fruit vibe on the nose than I expect from Karydas. It is actually quite appealing and closer the unsulfured Xino from Thymio. Structure is classic Xino tho with a masculine cut and austerity. Tannins a bit cutting and acid is a bit out of balance on finish. Still a beautiful wine and bloomed out sweet vegetal notes and a stony core with some air.

I concur with UpfFromTheCellar's comments. Interesting wine, out of the mainstream of standard European offerings.

Ruby-garnet; cherries, chocolate, herbs, tar; kirsch liquor, cocoa, earth, silky, medium body, good acidity, firm ripe tannins, lingering finish.
Decanted 1 hr. Complex aromas and flavours of chocolate covered cherries, earth, tar, sage, rosemary and thyme. Easy drinking and silky with food friendly acidity. Enjoyed with lamb burgers.
