Drank our last bottle of this with seared duck breasts. Still very pure and red-fruited but lacking in complexity compared to the Cru Beaujolais we drink. Weirdly, it reminded me more of a top-quality New World Gamay, specifically the lovely 2013 Chateau Grand Traverse Gamay from Michigan's Old Mission Peninsula. Strange, I know, but I calls 'em likes I sees 'em :)

Drank this awhile ago, so notes are from hazy memory. Very fresh, nice acidity, pretty red fruit, hard to put the glass down. Dupasquier is a great producer and the gamay is no exception. It has that special je ne sais quoi.
Looking forward to drinking more gamays from this region and more Dupasquiers of any grape.

Smells like flowers, spice, minty herbs, and soft, berrylike fruit; some rocky earth lurks underneath; attractive. Light bodied and juicy on the palate, with fresh flavors of red fruit, flowers, spice, and gravelly minerality. Good tart acidity, refreshing. Lingering flowers and minerality. Quite a floral wine, from nose to tail. Good stuff.

Mildly corked. (I understand that there exist people for whom that phrase is oxymoronic.) That said? We finished the magnum.

Light and floral, with gorgeous red fruit and a firmly acidic spine. Light on the palate, it goes down dangerously easily. Very pretty.
