Impromptu (socially distanced) wine on our porch with some friends...great evening. Served this one nicely chilled, a break from Chards and Sauv Blanc. Drank over an hour.
Notes from 2017: "Classic Viognier, more like the French versions of this varietal that I have tasted than the Americans. Intoxicating, fragrant nose - white flowers, tropical fruits, apricots. Nice mouth feel, fuller bodied, not as sweet as the nose would suggest. Pears, peaches, violets, white flowers, a liqueur like quality on the finish. Crisp acidity."
Nose opened a bit more as the wine warmed a bit, as expected. Still very lithe and expressive. Aromatics distinctive. Great stuff, a big hit with this crowd

This is a Mostly Viognier and very much Burgundian style white. Also a very fragrant nose of dried apricots.
The mouthfeel is big and affirms the sweet aromatic profile. Mostly pears with some peaches on the finish. Violet flower like quality on the finish with a crisp acidic ending.

Great wine showing well again tonight. Slight chill, PnP, drank over about 45 minutes. Does better as it gets a little air but still great right out of the bottle...I saved a splash and tried again later in the evening, perfume and secondary notes were a bit better...
Nice to share this with a group of sophisticated wine drinkers, big hit with this crew.

This was crisp and dry, very intense, perfumed and floral. Still drinking beautifully. (Even Valerie liked this one)...

BYO dinner with Ray/Shaun/CVA/Fabian - Bordeaux and "ABC" Whites... (The Milling Room - NYC): One of my contributions to the evening. A nice add for an "ABC" theme Consistent with prior notes 1/22/2017.

Impromptu tasting session with Joeroen, Isobel, Valerie and Frits (Chez Walker - Princeton, NJ): Thought I would revisit this one, its been about 18 months and this is an "ABC" crowd when it comes to whites
