  Excellent bottle of wine. A little sharp at first pour, but truly opened up nicely after aeration and 1 hour in decanter. Deep color, fresh, fruity on the nose, with balanced acidity and mild finish.

  Bis zum Jahrgang 2000 war das ein sensationeller Wein, bis 2007 ein guter Wein. Die neueren Jahrgänge gefallen mir nicht mehr. Wirken schon jung überreif. Dieser Cupole hat die ersten zehn Minuten geschmeckt, nachher störte eine Portwein mässige Nase. Austrinken.

  Wonderful nose. A little fruity for a Tuscan, but it does end with a pleasant acidic tint. Medium length overall. This was a present and I wish I had other bottles.

  Dark garnet. Red pepper, green pepper, blackberry, ripe cherry, espresso, graphite, celery, licorice and raisin on the nose. Because there are excessive sweetness and reduction gas, you had better let the wine breathe over 1-2 hours and serve it slightly chilled. Spicy, peppery character from Cabernet Franc is dominant. Well concentrated and polished texture. The fruitiness, freshness and complexity is fine for the level. The only trouble is that the grapes somewhat over-ripened in the vintage. So, it has low acidity relatively. Overall, I think it is a characterful Super Tuscany with fine quality. Alc. 15.0%
