really nice wine. Popped and poured from my cellar, after warming up for about an hour. Well integrated, color is still opaque, coats mouth and tongues, medium finish. Nice wine from not a great vintage for WA.

I'm going to chalk this one up as an off bottle, but I might not have if I hadn't seen all of the other positive reviews for this wine here on CT. The nose and palate were porty / stewed / pruney, and that was right from the first pour and didn't go away after 2-3 hours. Really disappointing. It was almost as if they were trying too hard to ripen fruit in this very chilly vintage and they got over-ripe, but it also could have been cooked at some point, although this was a buy from Full Pull straight into my offsite storage. One more left, hope it's better.

Delicious and ready for your drinking pleasure. I believe this is the moment for this wine...if you like it still with a little kick, but mostly all smoothed out. Fruit is still very round and full. Spice and cocoa and smoke from the oak is well integrated. Tannins are polished to a fine sheen.
Well done, as always, Woodward.

Really enjoyed the leather and tobacco and dark fruits here. 2 hour decant recommended.
