  • The 2012 Domaine Huet Vouvray Demi-Sec Le Haut-Lieu is a dry expression of the chenin blanc grape. It is not my preferred style of wine, but I did appreciate the crisp and light quality of the wine. Although this wine is from Vouvray, it is accessible at a young age. It does not have the deep golden color of older Vouvrays, but rather a light straw color. The 2012 vintage is not currently rated by the CellarTracker community, but previous vintages rate between 88-90 points...some individual raters placed past vintages in the 91-92 range. Wine Spectator rated the 2009 vintage 92 points. I rate the 2012 vintage 87 points, but this lower rating may be a result of my own biases. I look forward to seeing what others in the CT community rate this vintage.
