By far the oldest and most aged Pahlmeyer I've yet to try. First vintage of this wine? On its graceful downward slope. Still has dusty fruit to enjoy along with graphite, integrated tannins, and moderate acidity. Very balanced. Another thanks to Joe for sharing.
I agree with JCGuthrie, drink up.

Opened prior to bringing to the restaurant to check status, but didn't decant and immediately re-corked. I thought this showed best in the first 15 minutes it was open, with a beautiful perfumed nose and some mature red fruit on the palate. Over time the fruit faded, leaving leather, soy, garrique and a touch of matchstick. Enjoyable, but I suspect this would have showed better 5 or 6 years ago. And that's coming from a guy who likes a good bit of age on his reds. If you have these, drink up!

Annual Tasting Group Holiday Party (I Nonni, St. Paul, MN): Small taste. Same bottle as JCGuthrie. Not sure how long this had been open, but it was still very nice. Integrated, fine tannins, darker red fruits, graphite. 91+ to 92pts.
