On the nose I get just a hint of butter, loads of pineapple, lemon zest, and pear. On the palate, the attack is pretty strong with lemon, the mid palate is full of pineapples and other tropical fruits, and the finish brings in a healthy dose of white pepper. Full mouth feel that coats your tongue like a bigger Chard. I'm guessing this is due to the fact that they use an almost 50/50 blend of neutral french oak and stainless. That would also explain the light butter on the nose. I find oaking a sauv blanc to be a little unusually but I think they did the right thing here. 32 bones. This bottle helped remind me why Keever is one of my absolute favorite vineyards in Napa.
