Slim notes since this was pulled as the celler is being moved from Fallon to Woodland. Very much like the prior note in January 9pre-Covid days). Ready to drink and good to go with charcuterie and cheeses.

This is the best showing of this wine yet, and it was tremendous. Deep cranberry in color and translucent enough to read through. No bricking on the rim at all; quite a youthful Chinon. The nose is all cranberry, raspberry, cinnamon, molasses, forest floor, and perhaps still some sandalwood. The attack tracks the nose but the mouthfeel is silky smooth. Some earthiness and mushroom from the mid-palate to the finish. Just a touch of tobo, but not much. The finish is satisfying. The tannins are fully integrated and complete; deeply satisfying and inviting. Just a touch of dusty rose on the finish. Drink now or with in the next 5 years. Just a very bare shadow of sediment. 12.5% alc. With beef burgers at The Shack for PM special day. she arrived late afternoon and we’d arranged for burgers; high cooking later in the weekend. Recommended leaning to Highly Recommended.

The color is a vibrant ruby or perhaps cranberry. The color suggests a very youthful Chinon. The nose is all cranberry, raspberry and sandalwood. The attack tracks the nose but the added notes of earth and tobo spice adds to the midpalate and finish. Unfortunately, the finish is a bit short. The wine is still young, perhaps too young and could benefit from maybe another 10 years. Very surprisingly, not a grain of sediment. 12.5% alc. With beef burgers at The Shack. Recommended.
