Enjoyed with Easter ham. I can't remember specific tasting notes because there was a martini and some bubbly before this bottle, but it was roundly praised by the crowd and is still in good shape. Moderate tannins noted.

Served to accompany pheasant cassoulet. Opened 30 mins before drinking. Medium Burgundian colour. A lovely nose of ripe blackcurrant fruit, jammy. The palate is rich blackcurrant, dry, menthol. Long finish. Well balanced. Drinking really well now. Excellent wine produced by Steve Farquharson in Central Otago.

Purchased from the cellar door in 2014. Stunning wine, in a beautiful place. Ripe cherries, hint of vanilla from the oak, integrated tannins, balance just so, fantastic length. In a great spot now and, while it will likely hold, why bother? Sadly, my only bottle.

Perfumed fruit, does not fully show its 14% abv. Drank with grilled bluefin tuna. Appreciated by everyone at the table. Still drinking well in July 2020.

This note is written the following day without full notes. Opened and double decanted for 2 hours. Seems to be at perfect maturity now, but will surely keep for another 2-3 years or more. Medium garnet colour, typical Otago canned strawberries on the nose and palate. Medium bodied, quite long.
