I had this same wine over seven years ago for a Bacchus evening and enjoying the same wine again at a Bacchus but it's certainly moved on. Dark, blood red colour, nose of dusty booka, brambly black fruits, a whiff of alcohol to. The palate is fantastic though with saturated, dark black fruits, green pepper, creaminess and with extraordinary concentration. Class in a glass.

Left for an hour to breathe in the bottle, then put in decanter to speed up ox. After another half hour in the decanter, hints of black berries and blackberry exploded. Despite the 15%, the wine is incredibly smooth and not heavy. An excellent wine of clear Bordeaux inspiration.

Coravin. A blend of 70% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Good weight of black fruit, warm spices and currants, hint of vanilla from the (18 months, 80% new) oak, velvety but grippy tannins, good depth of flavour, broad shoulders, very good length. At La Cave des Climats, Paris, France.

From DMag, Full bodied, warm and juicy, you can feel the 15% alcohol, nice for a bbq when it is not to hot!
