This is my second Altazor from 2010 I've had in the last 6 months. This is definitely in the sub-90 point territory. It is a bit "syrupy"--and I don't usually use that word to describe vino.
I've had earlier vintages of the Altazor that had more "brightness"--possibly from the carignan blended into them. They were great. This vintage didn't add any of that variety which, in my opinion, was a miss.

At my hotel in Sao Paolo. Very soft nose, interesting berry and spice. Smooth mouthfeel, balanced red fruit and tannins. Oak. Bright and delicious! I will have to look this one up here I get back home.
