  Opaque dark purple with a lavender rim. Deep blue berry nose. Dry with some tart, slightly bitter cane tannins, bold fruit and body. This is a big wine and I can see the value as a blending grape to give heft to some merlot in a BDX. Starting to mellow on the second night and come into balance, this commands to be pared with a big steak, lamb or duck.

  Planned to keep this bottle, but wanted a good enjoyable wine in the middle of the week. Two people, one meal, 50%p plus gone. More on the fruity/somewhat sweeter side, but somewhat more balanced than I recall few months ago. Very dark purple Ruby. Given the concentrated nature of the grapes, not a major surprise. I know it needs more time (for that reason, the remaining is kept for today), but it is enjoyable drinking right now. Great PV wine, and great preview of the good #beserkersday deals.

  We opened it to have a glass (to share) and we ended up finishing about 40% of the bottle. Dark purple, more on the fruity/somewhat sweeter side, I would said. No surprise, given the concentrated nature of the grapes. I agree with the note from last week- the wine needs more time, and it took good 2 hours or so before it started showing abit more 'spice'. Very refreshing to have such a wonderful PV wine, at such fair price! good #beserkersday catch
