Green-tinted gold. Tropical fruits, pineapple, cream, buttery oak. Very fruity on the palate, juicy pineapple and gooseberry, grape skin acidity, vanilla oak. Decent finish with echoes of pineapple swirl and mandarin sherbet. Very fruity Chard but cleanly made, not overpowering. They used to make 'em Chardonnays fruit-charged like this... but they usually overdosed the oak, forgot the acidity, and missed the point. This, however, is striking the right note. Very nice.
Fruity nose, intense, well integrated oak. Pineapple, fig. Notes of toasted oak. Dry, good acidity, full body minus, intense, highish alcohol but well balanced, intense fruit flavours of pineapple, fig and some peach, notes of lime and some oak to add complexity and roundness.
Excellent and still young, another year or two could do well here.
