  • I just looked and found that I bought the Arnoux in 2010 from Crush. Didn't cross my mind at the time if it was reconditioned, but it most surely was. I certainly question these things more today. The wine was beautiful, limpid red, with pretty light orange on the edges. There was a gaminess to me came of as a little bretty. There was a question, for a second, if the wine had some Syrah, and I would say that it did have some similatities with some of the Northern Rhones that we were drinking. Decent and interesting, but like Robert stated, not profound. I was disappointed, because I wanted Robert and Marc to taste a fully resolved Burg. and that didn't happen here. The bottle was still finished.

  • Served blind. Garnet color with considerable bricking, very light and totally transparent not a hint of cloudiness. Sweet cola, flowers, this is a beautiful and elegant wine. A textbook example of Vosne-Romanee, and as good a performance as one could want from a wine of this age and pedigree. Superb, memorable, wish there was more...

  • Tasted blind, this wine had a medium red center with light orange rims. The medium intensity nose put forth roasted meat, black cherries, and anise.

In the mouth, this wine was medium bodied with light tannin and good length.

This was a classic Premier Cru that was in the zone and I was impressed how well it was holding up. However, I see no reason to cellar it further.

  • Re release obtained from Crush. Popped for my wife's birthday dinner with her parents, Cara and Chris. Classic Vosne spice with a hint of red fruit. Medium body with nice length. Earthy aroma again with red fruit. Not nearly as tertiary as I expected. If these have been reconditioned then excellent job. Served with flannery strip steaks.

  • The bottle spent a very sheltered life:
full fill, almost pristine cork and label, no 35 years young feel at all.
Brown and rustic color, nose of flowers filling the room, long finish and ultimate pleasure only well aged Burgs can deliver.
If you see it anywhere - BUY, DRINK, ENJOY, and hunt for more.
