Drinking wonderfull at the moment. Dark, very thick, strong fruit. On day 2 i detected slight tertiary aromes coming through. Very long. This seems to approach it‘s peak, will keep easily for 5-10 more years.

With leather, fruit, and everything for a vintage saint emilion wine. Lacking enough complexity to be a very good wine. Balancing acidity, rather short yet clean finish. For its price (USD50) it has great value. Drink well right now.

pretty opaque, but over the hill on the palate. possibly bad storage, bought this weeks ago. drank along with 1997 la Gaffeliere, both rather dissapointing. 87 for this bottle. 2 left.

Typischer St. Emilion, bereits in der Nase Duft von Kirsche und Vanille. Die Aromen steigern sich im Mund, nun noch etwas Cassis und schwarze Brombeere. Beim Essen (Hasenkeule) kommen die Fruchtnoten noch stärker hervor. Toller Wein, der sich prächtig entwickelt.
