Darker, richer expression. Cocoa, tobacco, a touch of peat with some leather and a bit of green pepper. Tertiary notes obviously starting to peek out. Lovely in the mouth, still somewhat big and not completely developed. Wonderful mid-to-long finish with some tarragon(?) herb rising. A beautiful wine. A beautiful Barolo.

Six months after opening my first I could not resist to open another to see if this wine is really this good. And it was even better! It is just insanely good, maybe on its way to 100. And miles ahead of its sibbling Le Vigne. If you own this wine, I suggest you open one now. You won’t be disappointed.

After opening its sibbling Le Vigne a few years too early, I tried my luck during a fantastic dinner in Studio Maastricht, together with John & Tanja. It did not disappoint. This wine is entering its window, firm grip but also seductice red fruit on the palate. Really the best of two worlds. Very, very good, though it might improve the next few years.

Sandrone Barolo Cannubi Boschis 2010. Også denne utrolig flott! All inn i aromabildet med alle de klassiske markørene. Er så vakkert. Blodrød i frukten med sublim friskhet. Perfekt balansert. På et fint sted i livet, men ingen hast. Er struktur for et langt liv. Meget lang med de fineste tanniner. Lekkerbisk. 95p
